Quality dumbbells

These are a great pair of good quality 40kg dumbbells which compliment the set of 3 dumbbell pairs I bought from York last year. I really like the shaped knurled grips and the hexagon shape which stops them rolling away on my not so flat garage floor.

Great shape and grip for lifting

Easy to handle compared to my solid metal dumbbells. Slight residue on black rubber that needs removing to avoid any staining of surfaces. True weight came in at 32KG each but still 2KG heavier than my previous dumbbells.

Basic Dumbbell Exercises


Dumbbell Bicep Curls

A classic exercise that targets the biceps muscles in your arms.

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand with arms at your sides and palms facing forward.
  2. Keeping your upper arms stationary, exhale as you curl the weights up to shoulder level while contracting your biceps.
  3. Hold the contracted position for a brief pause, then inhale as you slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
  4. Repeat for 8-12 repetitions for 3 sets.

Dumbbell Shoulder Press

An effective exercise for building shoulder strength and stability.

  1. Sit on a bench with back support, holding a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height with palms facing forward.
  2. Exhale as you press the dumbbells upward until your arms are fully extended overhead.
  3. Pause briefly at the top, then inhale as you slowly lower the weights back to shoulder level.
  4. Repeat for 8-12 repetitions for 3 sets.

Dumbbell Chest Press

A great exercise for developing chest muscles and upper body strength.

  1. Lie on a flat bench holding a dumbbell in each hand at chest level with palms facing forward.
  2. Push the dumbbells up until your arms are fully extended, keeping the weights directly above your shoulders.
  3. Pause briefly at the top, then slowly lower the weights back to chest level.
  4. Repeat for 8-12 repetitions for 3 sets.

Dumbbell Squats

A compound exercise that targets multiple muscle groups in your lower body.

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides.
  2. Keeping your chest up and back straight, bend your knees and lower your body as if sitting in a chair.
  3. Lower until your thighs are parallel to the floor, or as far as comfortable with proper form.
  4. Push through your heels to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for 10-15 repetitions for 3 sets.

Delivery Times

Parcel deliveries will be between 3 – 5 working days days.

2 man delivery and pallet orders is up to 10 days, you will be contacted directly by the carrier to organised a day.
