To start they look fantastic, very high quality, they are roughly 20% bigger than the 10kg plates. They have a fantastic black almost glossy finish to them, very clearly I missed weight on them, and slide easily into the 1inch bar.

York Iron Plates 4 x 5Kg==================The york sets tend to be my goto weights and now that covid has settled down, items sold directly by Amazon as opposed to resellers seem to have stabilised a bit. Even though these came up as out of stock but available for purchase, I took a gamble and just bought them but was lucky enough for it to come up quite quickly. The newer style of these iron plates have changed design a smidge - I personally find the older ones slightly easier to pick out to read when there are a pile of plates on the floor, but that's just my personal taste. Yes the plates do come with very minor manufacturing defects, mainly just cosmetic flecks, but overall built to a very good standard. I also noticed the newer plates come with the centre treated much better than the older ones - this is usually where I get the most wear and tear on my older plates. Bought for 34.99 (20kg - 4 x 5kg). I’m just waiting to see if the york 7.5kg or 10kg plate sets become available again, fingers crossed.

Unlike some reviews say mine were perfect quality

Good quality weights plates. Do the job. Will fit any 1inch bar. Just what I wanted. All weights stuff a bit on the pricey side at the moment with the Coronavirus, but overall would still recommend

These are lovely plates to use. well made and easy to pick up to load onto dumbells and barbell. I chose these because they seemed a great price deal, half-expecting the finish quality to be poor, but how wrong was I? these are great.

Trusted weight equipment from one of the oldest suppliers of gym equipment.

brilliant product and thinner than normal weights meaning you can get more on the dumbells
