York Fitness B501 Folding Barbell Bench

The quality of the real steel used on this bench is superb - no shardings, nothing to be careful of being cut by sharpened untrimmed edges. The documentation for assembling (DIY) professionally produced. Easy to read . The screws theirselves are beautifully arranged and neatly packaged in a well organised made-to-fit&hold these screws...essentially every minutia items that makes up this bench is just spewing out QUALITY! The bench is well cushioned with good comforting material - only time will tell depending on its frequency of use with sweat etc, but for now I am extremely happy with this product and unbelievably at a bargain under £100!!!!!!

For the money it's a great starter bench for a teenager. I got it for my son so it's fine. Good build quality and easy enough to install. Personally I just found it a little on the small side length ways for me. But overall bench is good and comfortable with good thick padding on the leg curls and butterfly. Overall good piece of kit.

The York fitness bench is ideal for me. Serves my purpose well. Well made. Reasonably sturdy. However, I feel it should have a flat foot plate on the single post at the bottom . This would stop the slight rocking on the post when getting on and off of the bench.
It's was easy to follow the instructions to build it.
I am happy with it and think it is agood value purchase.

Excellent bench.

All equipment I've bought arrived in good condition and they're great. The only thing I'm disappointed with is the delivery company DPD: they say they haven't found me at home while I was there because their stanav sends them to next block of flat. Moreover some delivery drivers don't bother even to call.

I bought this for my son, he found it easy to assemble and thinks it's great.

Rather small, but does the job. Definitely think it needs a cross piece on the one leg for more stability.

Only one issue with the bench.....if the barbel and its weights is left on the stand, when using the butterfly arm curls my hands bang into the barbel weights.

The bench is approx nine inches wide whilst the seat is approx eleven inches. Between the upright bars you have just under 16 inches for shoulder clearance when laying horizontal. This makes it better for the smaller person for some exercises. Having said that I'm 6ft 2in and 16st, so, I've adapted a routine that makes this bench just the ticket for me. On a plus it folds up well and doesn't take up the space of a Home Gym. I already had some weights and only a little room in my garage so this was ideal. Good for around ninety pound in sale but wouldn't pay two hundred for it as I'd say that there are better options out there. Perfect for a younger teenager or an old boy like me who isn't into lifting huge weights. Easy to fit together but easier to put together with your own spanners rather than those supplied. Personally I'm well pleased but if you're a serious weightlifter this has it's limitations.
